Our classes are informal, friendly and offer plenty of opportunity to ask questions. This is a complete course offering a standard antenatal course, a breastfeeding class, a reunion and a postnatal course giving 24 hours with a NCT specialist. Women and their partners or supporters generally attend together for the antenatal part with one women only session. A reunion is held with partners once the babies are born and three postnatal sessions during the day for women and their babies.

It covers many aspects of pregnancy, birth and life with a new baby. The agenda is customised to suit each particular group but typical topics include birth preparation, labour, pain relief, breastfeeding and caring for your newborn baby.

The classes are run by NCT trained antenatal teachers and breastfeeding counsellors.

The socialising is a very important aspect of the classes and provides an essential support network for new parents and their babies. Parents will get to know others in a similar position and attendees often find the people they meet on these courses become an important support in the months and sometimes years after their babies are born.
