Nearly New Sale

We hold two Nearly New Sales each year, where you can get some great bargains, sell your  children’s old (but good condition) toys and clothes and help support the NCT too!

We sell newborn and children’s clothes, maternity wear, toys and equipment (such as prams and cots).

Our sales are held at the Sikh Leisure Centre near Huddersfield town centre. We charge a small entrance fee - £1.00 -  which helps support the continuing work of the branch.

Sellers: See below for full information on selling and the forms you need to download in order to register as a seller and label your items.

Anyone can sell items at the sale (you do not have to be a member of the NCT), and each item sold raises money for yourself and the National Childbirth Trust. All items must be nearly new, complete and in good condition. We do not accept soft toys, shoes or trainers, hand knitted goods, mains electrical equipment, car seats, booster seats, sit-in baby walkers, mattresses, breast pumps, baby bouncers, riding hats, cycling helmets, clothing with drawstring necks or prams, pushchairs and buggies that do not conform to BS 7409 or which have an intregral car seat.

Can you help? We can always use help in the following ways:

• If anyone can help us out by putting up some leaflets publicising the sale in your area please contact us and let us know how many and we will send to you - will need your name and address.
• Can you help on the day of the sale? Helpers get a few minutes of priority shopping time before the sale.
