Antenatal Courses

Led by qualified NCT antenatal teachers, NCT antenatal classes are renowned throughout the UK for providing parents with reliable information and choice.

Classes run in several formats, from eight weekly sessions to intensive weekends. Your due-date will determine what options are available to you. The classes are run in small friendly groups for parents expecting babies at about the same time, and as well as being informative, are a great opportunity to meet other parents-to-be.

  • Standard Antenatal Courses
  • Intensive Antenatal Courses
  • Refresher Course

Please contact us after your twelve week scan, or soon after, as classes do tend to book up quickly. However, we will of course try to accommodate late bookers wherever possible. There is a cost for the classes, depending on the type of course booked, please ask your booking administrator for more details.  You do not have to be a member of the NCT to attend one of our courses, though by becoming a member you will help the NCT carry on its work and assist in the training of new teachers. Concessionary rates are available.

To register for a course, fill in an interest form from a course below or e-mail booking enquiries including your address, phone number and due-date or call 0844 243 6872. Our administrator works part time so you may not receive a reply immediately to your enquiry. The account will be monitored periodically for urgent enquiries.

Postnatal Courses

These courses are for those with new babies to help parents make the adjustment to being parents and learn more about caring for themselves and their new baby. They are run by our qualified postnatal leader - Diz.

They are usually attended by women and offer a space in which to explore the adjustment to becoming a parent and all that it means. As a group you will discuss practical skills in coping with a new baby but much more important the course will help you find your feet as a mother and help give you the confidence to parent your baby in the way that you feel is right for you and your family.
